New Beach Parking Rules for Indian Harbour Beach: What You Need to Know

by Tricia Hardy

If you frequent the beaches in Indian Harbour Beach, you’ll want to be aware of new parking regulations that recently went into effect. The city has introduced a paid parking system for non-residents at Bicentennial and Millennium Beach Parks, bringing changes that visitors and residents alike should keep in mind.

Paid Parking for Non-Residents

Non-residents will now need to pay for parking at Bicentennial and Millennium Beach Parks. Parking rates are set at:

  • $3 per hour

  • $15 for the entire day

Visitors can pay using their mobile devices through posted signs or use the kiosks available at the parks. This new system is designed to help maintain the beaches and manage parking congestion.

Free Parking for Residents

Indian Harbour Beach residents can still park for free, but they must register their vehicles online. To do so, visit the official registration portal: Indian Harbour Beach Parking Registration. Residents will need to provide proof of residency along with their vehicle registration to complete the process.

In-Person Registration Events

For those who prefer to register in person, the city is offering sign-up days at City Hall. Residents can stop by on any of the following dates:

  • March 14

  • March 21

  • March 28

Registration events will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at City Hall, where city staff will assist residents with the process.

Plan Ahead for Your Beach Days

Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, planning ahead will ensure a smooth beach experience under the new rules. If you’re a resident, take the time to register your vehicle to avoid any parking fees. If you’re visiting from outside the area, be sure to bring your phone or use the kiosks to pay for parking hassle-free.

Stay informed and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Indian Harbour Beach!
